“We know that men and boys can and are victims of sexual assault,” said Isa Woldeguiorguis, Executive Director. With the award from the Cummings Foundation, we will respond to the needs of men and boys in more inclusive and holistic ways—just as we do for women and female-identified people. Due to covid, we were not able to launch the program as planned so we are very appreciative of the Foundation for their understanding and flexibility.”
Isa Woldeguiorguis, Executive Director CHH

CHH is a nonprofit organization with a mission to end sexual violence by eradicating the oppressions that use it as a weapon. Our work is to reach those at the margins who historically have been left out of services and support.
Research indicates that at least 1 in 6 men have experienced sexual abuse as boys or assault as adults. Male survivors experience symptoms of depression, post traumatic stress, alcoholism and substance abuse. We want to make sure they can obtain help as well.
“We have been impressed, but not surprised, by the myriad ways in which these 130 grant winners are serving their communities, despite the challenges presented by COV ID-19,” said Joel Swets, Cummings Foundation’s executive director. “Their ability to adapt and work with their constituents in new and meaningful ways has an enormous impact in the communities where our colleagues and leasing clients live and work.”
